Eating for Planet: A RadicALL Silent Auction + Restaurant Crawl
This past December Food Tribe celebrate our commitment to ending hunger in Los Angeles.
16% of Los Angeles doesn’t know where they’re going to get their next meal from yet we throw away 40% of the food we produce.
That doesn’t make any sense to us either.
This #WomensHistoryMonth we celebrated and honored Hayley, the founder of Love My Neighbor Foundation.
Our silent auction wass designed to help keep their mission of ending hunger in Los Angeles alive.
The mission of our 360° restaurant technology platform is to connect good people to good food.
We know foodies eat out 5x a week- which is why our #RadicALL content is all about highlighting the food issues currently costing the average family of four $1800/year.
December 2018 a group of 26 Los Angeles area foodies came together to answer the question: what does sustainable food mean to you?
They participated in:
Eating for Planet: Sustainable panel + VIP party at Outsite Venice
A Restaurant crawl and behind the scenes tour of Sustainable Venice Restaurants
A Radic(ALL) new way to Eat, Share, Learn and Have Fun.
RADIC(ALL) was a social experience of meaningful food, foodprint consciousness and fair eating access.
Radical comes from the Latin word radix, which means root, from where something is nourished.
All, as we all know (jokes aside), means the collective, unity, oneness. Food for All!
RADIC(ALL) is a Food Tribe initiative to raise awareness about the importance of collective disruptive behavior.
Let’s shift our cultures impact on food - we want to raise awareness around your foodprint - or the food choices you make affecting people and planet. Our, aim: to start a movement to end hunger in LA, with sustainability at its core.
