A #LinkedInLocal Event

Food Tribe is a 360° restaurant technology platform interested in food. We’re starting the conversation to drive RADIC(ALL) change around food issues like sustainability and waste.

Join us December 15th in Venice for a fun way to learn more about the issue.

We think that throwing away 40% of our food when 16% of LA is food insecure doesn’t make any sense.

That's right, 40% of our food goes into the trash while 1.4 Million people in LA don't know where their next meal is going to come from.

We want your help figuring out the problem.

Food Tribe believes in fun - so we want you to get creative.

A Madlib is a fun word game - the goal of the game is to create a story using words YOU choose to fill in the blanks of your sustainable food story.

This is your chance to get fun, creative, and silly!

Here's how to play:

Step 1. Watch this video

Step 2. Create Your Mad Libs:

a. The last time someone told me about _______________ (sustainable issue) I ___________________ (choose a verb - an action, occurence or state of being) and ___________________ (choose a verb - an action, occurence or state of being).

b. When I ate ___________________ (write name of dish, menu item, food, or drink) I couldn't wait to __________________ (word to describe eat or drink) with my ___________ (person's relationship to you) __________________________ (tag name or location).

Step 3. Submit your Madlib by tagging us on Instagram, YouTube or Facebook.

a. All tags must include #eatstayplay #mylafoodprint #celebratingfood360

b. Submissions must include your (1) completed Madlibs, (2) tagging a friend, (3) a sustainable cause you want to learn more about and (4) the restaurant of your choice.

Step 4. Join us live on Instagram as we read some of your submissions and select a winner. Winner will receive a FREE ticket in honor of #GivingTuesday. Winner will have access to a sustainable panel and event taking place with Outsite and Food Tribe in Venice on December 15th, 2018.

Part of Outsite's philosophy means a more sustainable planet for everyone.

Food Tribe and Outsite have come together for this one-day event to give you the chance to learn about some ways to be the change you want to see in Los Angeles and beyond.

Learn more about Food Tribe and how we plan to connect foodies and restaurants for a more sustainable food production system.

People, Planet, Food are the topics we're covering during this event. We’re interested in creating a brighter future for us all.

The planet is one resource that if we waste, we’re never going to get it back, so lets figure out the food side and make sure we’re taking care of the things we have.
